TECHNOLOGY TEACHER (PreK-8th Grade)

Minimum Qualifications 

• Computer Science Grades K-12 license to teach in Missouri or other state or ability to teach computer science or technology in the country in which the teacher received their training. 
• Bachelor’s degree in education, literacy, language, technology, computer science or a closely related field

 

Nice-to-Haves- Skills and qualities that are a plus but not necessarily a requirement

• Teaching experience in PreK-8 setting 
• Solid understanding of academic and behavioral strategies for students with various needs

 

Responsibilities

• Provide technology instruction to early childhood, elementary and middle school students
• Ensures safety of students by providing active supervision
• Builds strong relationships based on mutual respect across dimensions of difference with students, families, and all stakeholders
• Provides appropriate, research-based scaffolds and differentiates instruction
• Develops and uses an effective classroom culture plan
• Collects and analyzes data, and uses it to drive decisions 
• Prepares and implements daily lessons aligned to the curriculum
• Provides high-quality and consistent input in the language of instruction per the dual language model

 

Compensation and Benefits

 

The annual salary for this position is competitive and rages from $50,000 – $70,440. Our salaries are well-above market rate: SLLIS salaries are higher than 97% of public schools in Missouri. Your salary would be based on the highest postsecondary degree you have obtained and the number of years of experience you have. SLLIS also offers the following:
